Privacy

Your work is yours. Your data should be, too.

This policy explains what CommsOpen collects, why we need it, and the controls available to creators and customers.

Who operates CommsOpen

CommsOpen is operated by Beyond Studios. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@commsopen.shop.

Information we collect

  • Account and storefront information you provide, including your name, email address, profile, products, commission services, portfolio media, and support messages.
  • A provider account identifier and the profile fields you approve when you connect Google, X, Discord, Gumroad, or another supported service.
  • Order, payout, tax, refund, and transaction records needed to operate the marketplace. Full payment-card details are handled by the payment processor and are not stored by CommsOpen.
  • Basic device, cookie, IP-address, and security-log information needed for sign-in, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and service reliability.

Connected accounts and imports

Identity sign-in and content importing are separate permissions. CommsOpen requests only the access needed for the action you choose. Imported profiles, products, posts, images, and media are shown as a preview or draft and are not published automatically.

X profile lookups are cached after authorization and are repeated only when you explicitly request a refresh. CommsOpen does not post, like, follow, or send direct messages through your X account. Gumroad access is used only to read the seller profile and product information you choose to migrate.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, operate storefronts and commissions, process and document transactions, import creator-selected content, prevent abuse, provide support, and improve service reliability. We do not sell or resell personal information or data received from connected platforms.

When information is shared

Information is shared only with service providers needed to run CommsOpen, such as hosting, email, fraud-prevention, payment, payout, and tax providers; with a buyer or creator as needed to complete a transaction; when you direct us to share it; or when required by law. Providers receive only the information needed for their role.

Retention and your controls

Account and storefront information is kept while your account is active. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and retained only while the connection remains active. Disconnecting a content account revokes its token when supported and removes the stored connection. Transaction and safety records may be retained when required for taxes, disputes, fraud prevention, or other legal obligations.

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@commsopen.shop. You can disconnect supported sign-in and content accounts from Creator Setup. Imported drafts remain under your control until you delete them.

Cookies, security, and international use

CommsOpen uses necessary cookies for authentication, account security, carts, and preferences. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by our service providers.

Children and changes

CommsOpen is not directed to children under 13. Creators who accept payouts must be at least 18 or have the involvement of a parent or legal guardian where permitted. We will post material policy changes here and update the date above.

CommsOpen

Artists keep 98% before standard payment processing. Just 2% to CommsOpen, with no monthly fee and no hidden platform deductions.
